For quite awhile now I've been telling you how good Glorioso's frozen ravioli is, but I've just recently discovered a new favorite. Their butternut squash version is perfection. I top it with just a little melted butter and some Italian herbs.
2 - QBeadMixology
I recently got a great package from my friend Quinn of QBeadMixology. Her jewelry is really cute, but when she started her Etsy shop the first thing I thought of was spoons, and now I have two of my own plus nom nom earrings :) If you like what you see, you can also follow QBeadMixology on Facebook.
3 - CityTins
It's hard to believe it's already February, but that's ok because I'm making great progress on redeeming my 2013 CityTin. In January, I enjoyed a lunch at Swig with Chris and dinner at Pastiche with my friend Jacquie.
Although I've heard of all the participating restaurants, I'm not familiar with the locations, so I had to google map each. Below is my East side map, and we will be visiting one of these restaurants after touring Growing Power this weekend.
Are you getting sick of me talking about Silpat yet? While I've only had one for a week now, but I've used it every day and it's seriously great. The Kitchn agrees. I've been asked what size I purchased and what size pan I'm using, below are the details.
Silpat Non-Stick Baking Mat - 11 5/8" x 16 1/2"
Nordic Ware Bakers Half Sheet - 13" x 18"
The main reason I haven't owned a Silpat until now is simply because I didn't have a baking sheet that fit any of the various dimensions available. So I bought a half sheet at the same time and they work perfectly together.
5 - Mozzaluna
I should have stuck with my CityTin choices when dining out this past weekend. I had heard great things about Mozzaluna in Brookfield, so I suggested it when a friend asked me to choose a lunch destination.
Unfortunately, our food was just ok and we were given dirty plates for our appetizer. I really wanted to like it, but I don't think I'll be back.
