Fall/Winter CSA and Web Links

The summer CSA season is coming to an end next week, but luckily the fall/winter season starts November 1st.  I hesitated signing up this year, because there's only one size option for the fall/winter share and last year it was too much.  However a friend suggested we split it this year, which was a great idea!

It will be her first CSA experience and she's really excited.  In fact, she was telling her hairstylist about it last night and now her hairstylist wants to sign up too.  As of last week, HighCross Farm still had capacity for more fall/winter CSA members if you're interested.  Just click here to sign up :)

I found out today that it's kind of cool to get mentioned on the web.  Yesterday, I was contacted by The Huffington Post and was surprised at how quickly I received a reply back with a link to Pesto Recipes in Every Flavor (my Swiss chard pesto is number 13).

Receiving that email today reminded me of a write up I did for Gourmet.com a few months ago, but never heard back on.  It turns out that my recommendation for Le RĂªve was published in July as part of 10 French Restaurants Across the USA, which I didn't see until today.

  1. MAJOR congrats!!! I wish the fall/winter CSAs in NYC were both less expensive and had better veggie selection! They're pretty sparse.

    1. I was expecting more winter squash and way less greens last year. Thankfully hoophouses defy Wisconsin weather :)
