Their outdoor area includes a bar but it's only staffed in the evening. During the day, all orders have to be placed inside, which is a little confusing because there's a building in between the restaurant and the outdoor dining area.
In fact, while we were eating outside today a very confused looking guy asked us how to get inside. Below is a photo I took last month, which will give you a better idea of the setup. From across the street it seems pretty clear, but I certainly was confused the first time I was there too.
My co-worker and I always get the lunch special, which includes a half-pizza (margherita, sausage or pepperoni) with a choice of house salad, Caesar salad or soup of the day. Pictured below were our selections today.
If you can dine at Pizzeria Piccola and resist Yo Mama! for dessert around the corner, you're stronger than I am. Frozen yogurt with berries was the perfect dessert for the gorgeous summer weather today.
Here are a couple more photos I took last year, when Lisa and I celebrated our birthdays on September 1st. When I dine in Tosa I often wish I lived closer, but my budget and waistline are happier with my current home in Menomonee Falls.
I ordered the vegetable pizza for my birthday dinner, which was fantastic! Although I prefer the lunch size portions, and Chris wanted no part of sharing a vegetable pizza with me :)
